Hướng dẫn cài đặt thêm AP License cho Cisco Wireless Controller CT2504, CT3504

- Khi triển khai một hệ thống có nhiều Cisco Access Point (APs), nhưng mặc định Cisco WLC 2504 chỉ hỗ trợ cho 5 APs. Vì vậy, Cisco sẽ bán thêm các bản License để tăng số lượng AP. Bài viết này sẽ hướng dẫn các để thêm License vào WLC.

- Bước 1: Bạn truy cập vào trang thông tin về license của Cisco và đăng ký Product Authorization Key (PAK) đã được gửi qua e-mail trong mẫu PDF (e-license) hoặc bản in(copy) cứng. Đăng ký license PAK sử dụng Product ID (PID) và số Serial number của WLC. Và download file dạng *.lic về PC để tiến hành cài đặt.

Bên trong WLC Web GUI > Controller > Inventory.​

Sử dụng CLI và lệnh >show license udi​

- Bước 2: Cài đặt AP license

Vào trang WLC GUI > Management > Software Activation > Commands > Actions > Install License, and for or some strange reason only 3CDaemon works. After transferring the license via TFTP, the WLC will prompt to restart in order for the license to take effect. You can also optionally save the license.

Nhập địa chỉ server TFTP vào ô File name to install (tftp-url): (vd: tftp://10.0.0.1/filename.lic) sau đó click vào nút Install License​

- Sau khi cài đặt license thành công, cần phải reboot lại thiết bị. ​

- Bước 3: Kiểm tra

Sau khi reboot lại WLC, vào lại trang GUI > Management > Software Activation > License để kiểm tra license vừa cài.​

- Sử dụng lệnh CLI để kiểm tra license.
